Shawn Huelle

untitled (truisms)

He was born in the middle of nowhere, lived there, more or less happily, until he was eleven, moved with his family to a slightly less nowhere Nowhere, and was bullied badly enough in junior high and high school that he then left for the first, but certainly not last time. He found leaving to be easy, and so, over the course of his life, left at least 10 more places, until he finally found a place he thought he might not want to leave.

Immediately upon forming that thought, though, he had a desire to leave. He has not yet left that place, despite the occasional twinge, and he recognizes, at this hopefully more mature place and moment in his life, that everywhere is its own Nowhere, that leaving requires less of a certain kind of work than staying, and that getting to know a place and its people--

He stopped; he had gotten to know several places and people in between his leavings, and had found that differences--

He stopped again; none of this was actually saying anything, was just a collection of pre-fabricated phrases meant to help people accept any number of things, but mostly the status quo and the fact that we're all going to die.
