I recently started following a blog by someone I don't know, because someone I met once (briefly) recommended it on his blog, which I also follow. The blog by the person I don't know is really great (as is the one by the person I only met the one time), and it has a name that means "a report on the relations between parts and wholes."

You know how sometimes you're walking and accidentally fall into pace with a stranger, or they with you, so you try to speed up or slow down, but they're doing the exact same thing so you remain synchronized? I kind of like the idea that this is because we have been maneuvered into place with joysticks, and somewhere on a monitor our figures are briefly illuminated, and someone wins 500 points.
The thing I like best about "The Mereological Report," though, is that it made me start thinking about this blog again. I started this blog shortly after concluding the Memo project, and it has, over the years, slipped further and further away from that example, to the point that, over the last year or so, it has unfortunately become little more than a repository for my generally lame-ass tweets. Perhaps, however, you have noticed a recent uptick in activity here, and that is thanks, in part, to "The Mereological Report." So Thanks, "The Mereological Report"!
